Welcome to VillageQ!

This is VillageQ.  VQ.  The V to the Q.   The V-Q-nator.  We are so happy you’re here because you really bring out the Q in our V.  Also, you look especially good today.  Must be your true colors shining through.  That’s why we love you, you know.  You can be your beautiful self here on VillageQ, and we welcome your gorgeous you with applause, hugs and fist pumps.

For those of you joining us for the first time, you may wonder if you will always be greeted in such a welcoming manner.  Yes.  Yes you will.  But we may not be so official about it.  It’s just that we’ve undergone a bit of a shift for the better here, and you were lucky enough to catch us after we transitioned…virtually.IMG_1253

What was once LesbianFamily.com is now a destination where all us Ls, Gs, Bs, Ts, Qs, Qs, Is and As celebrate, support, and explore the queer family experience.

It’s early days here at VillageQ.  Our evolution will continue as we learn more about what you’d like to see here and as we work behind the scenes to bring you more of what you like.

In the meantime, we have to extend thanks to some dedicated and talented people for helping us come this far.  Romina Trucco was a design star helping us out from another hemisphere.  Her design site is under construction, but even her temporary page is fantastic.  Our own site contributor and founder of the social action group Lesmadres, Julieta Bonazza was super helpful as Romina’s sous-chef in design.

Bionic thanks to Sarah Kimmel at Technology for Moms.  Sarah is a tech goddess and all around phenomenal person who has seen us all at our very best and during our most fragile moments.  She continues to keep us afloat, and we could not be more grateful.

Now come on in and have a look see at posts past.  viperously Get to know our contributors, old and new.  And keep tuning in this week and beyond as we roll out the welcome mat.  There is so much more to come.

  1. I get to be the first to say: CONGRATULATIONS TO US!

Later this week I, along with each of us, will be saying a lot more. But for now, I’ll just say: I couldn’t be happier. I’ve never birthed a baby (caught a few), but watching this site and its community revive, and then grow, and then transform, all over the course of nine or so months? Well. Amazing in its own way. With a lot less bodily fluid and pain. And many many more people watching.

Thank you for kicking off the celebrations, Deborah, and happy (re)birthday to all of us!

  2. Congrats Team!!!!!!!! =))

  3. Esther Wifler says:

  7. I think it’s really selfish of the Royal baby to have been born yesterday – but he won’t upstage us! because this is royally awesome!

  8. Grace Yip says:

  9. Gabriella says:
