Luján & Julieta’s Wedding

¡Más vale tarde que nunca (better late than never)! I finally picked some wedding pictures! I know it’s been over 2 months since the wedding but, in my defense, we have over 700 photos and it was very hard to decide.

September 28th 2013 – springtime in the Southern Hemisphere. Some rebellious clouds covered the sky in the city of Santa Fe, Argentina. The wind took over and suddenly it was cold for the first time in weeks – the worst weather ever for a wedding about to take place outside. So there were some last minute changes in the original plan. The ceremony that was to take place  outside on a breakwater structure happened inside the Catamaran and we had to decide on a song for our entrance. We had wanted to sneak into the crowd not to draw much attention. There were some unusual waves, so the Judge was dizzy and every time the ship shook she made a funny remark. The captain was dubious about leaving the port but we did set sail while the violin guy played some awesome tunes (namely, Green Day’s “Good Riddance” and Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” and then some more dance-y bits to get the party started, including a Lady Gaga medley) and, in spite of the weather, we had the best time ever surrounded by both our families and friends, dancing until 5 a.m. Do not be fooled by the pictures – I took off my awful shoes around 1 a.m.
