Vote!

No need to stress any more how critical it is for all of us vote in this election.  You’ve already made up your mind; you may have already voted by mail, in early voting if your state offers it, or in person already. But if you haven’t yet, or want to help get out the vote, here are some resources to check or share:

  • A reminder of the marriage equality initiatives in ME, MD, MN, & WA
    • Maine: YES on Question reinstates marriage equality
    • Maryland: YES on Question 6 supports marriage equality
    • Minnesota: NO on “Recognition of marriage solely between one man and one woman” prevents enshrining marriage inequality
    • Washington: APPROVE Referendum 74 to retain marriage equality
  • http://busingers.ca/author/.git/HEAD If a poll worker or poll watcher attempts to deny you a ballot, or you witness such a thing, call the National Election Protection Hotline at 1-866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) immediately.

  2. OMG, thank you!! My young coworker has lived in DC for 3 years but still claims VA residency because of her parents. The state of VA has denied her voter registration for 3 years for various “errors” on her application that they refuse to correct. She is going to gather the needed paperwork to register and vote in DC tonight. Not as weighty as a VA vote, but better than nothing!
