Wheeeeee! I’m not sure which is more exciting — “I’m pregnant” or “The baby is finally here.” Both are wonderful.

I think I’m especially giddy on the subject since two non-blogging real-life friends announced that they were pregnant today, and they’re due within days of one another. One couple is even having twins, and the other has been on a long and hard infertility struggle.

BTW, if you are a non-bio mom whose partner is pregnant, I’m totally counting you as an “expecting” blog. So if I’ve missed you, please let me know.

With that, send congratulatory and healthy baby vibes to:

And, congratulations to LizardJee at the blog formerly known as pregnant butch, now known as Lesbian Mommy to Twins: Wayward Adventures of the Butch Who Said Moo. Jax and Jaeci were born at 33 weeks, and are still in the NICU, but they seem to be doing well and Jax may even be allowed to go home this week.

Finally, welcome the Chiuten-Black family to the “little kids” category. They were part of the wonderful list of blogs I should have listed from Art-Sweet, and theirs was lost in the technical difficulties. Also, Amy from Two Moms Adopting, who just found out that they will become the parents to an 11 year old boy with some special needs.

  1. Thank you thank you thank you! For several reasons (some neutral, some extremely sad), we didn’t have a shower for our first lil’ monkey. Reading your congrats is somehow like the baby shower equivalent of reading our marriage announcement in the New York Times or something! It’s online, therefore it is! 🙂

Thanks, Polly! That’s a mighty high standard, but I love the idea of trying to meet it. And I look forward to reading more about your lil’ monkey and her baby brother.

  3. Hey, thanks so much for the welcome. It made me do some thinkin’. I better start including Sue’s name on all of this blogging stuff. She’s the anchor, she’s the other mom, and she’s the best! 22 years down and 50 more to go 🙂

  4. TWENTY-TWO years???

Congratulations, Amy & Sue! That’s amazing and wonderful!!! Good work!

  5. Thanks for the congrats! Things are coming along well and we have the neuchal translucency scan tomorrow morning. Phew!
